February is a relatively slow time of year for landscaping in Tucson. Sure you deal with some weeds and a little trimming but how much time do you spend in your yard when it’s 50 degrees? It seems like a good time to discuss the topic of lazy desert landscaping. What is lazy desert landscaping? It’s desert landscaping that basically takes care of itself (with some minimal work). And, viagra buy yes, I did make up that name.
If you plant the right desert plant in the right place, you can significantly cut down on your landscape maintenance time. Here are some thoughts for creating a Tucson desert garden that requires little to no maintenance and watering.
Look at the desert to see what’s growing there. Chances are that if it’s growing in the desert it can grow pretty easily and without much water in your yard. Here are some good desert plants for lazy desert landscaping:
- Fairy Duster
- Prickly Pear Cactus
- Barrel Cactus
- Hedgehog Cactus
- Desert Milkweed
Keep in mind that these plants do require initial watering to get established. And, some of them need the occasional thinning. But, that is minimal compared to many other Tucson landscape plants.
