  3. Thanks for sharing, I like some plants around the house but more flowers than bushes since bushes obstruct the views and make it easier for people to break in:). But that is just me, I like a lot of color

  8. I just planted some shrubs a few months ago, but they didn’t take the winter very well. They are still alive, but not sure what to do to get them healthy again

  9. LOVE this! Such a beautifully simple description of how to do it! I love that by following your tips the home looks ‘cradled in nature’ . . one very important point, that I’m glad you included, is to not plant right up against your foundations. Not only is the soil often poor, but the constant watering some plants take is also not recommended for foundations!! (not to mention the damage invasive root systems can cause!)
