Finalist for Landscaper of the Year and the Bahamas Cruise
I have just returned from the Total Landscape Care Magazine’s Landscaper of the Year awards. It was a great experience to be a finalist. And, viagra although we did not win, generic viagra I was honored to be counted among this highly professional group of landscape business owners.
Case Construction sponsored the entire event. Their representatives were eager to learn about all of us and our equipment needs. There was a round table discussion where we were able to talk about our challenges and how we see our companies and our industry growing and changing. Having an opportunity to meet with other landscape business owners in this setting showed me just how similar our issues are. I also learned how different our company is from the other finalists.
Some of the other companies are much larger than we are. And, we are unlike the other companies because we work in a desert environment with heat and water challenges. We were the only woman owned business finalist and the only one that has a very specialized target market. The others do every aspect of landscaping for all different types of clients.
We were able to spend time at dinner and at a reception with the Case representatives and the other finalists and get to know them. I learned a lot about how everyone got into business and what makes each person and business exceptional.
The awards were held during a three day Norwegian Cruise Lines Bahamas cruise. It was my first time on a cruise and first time to the Bahamas. It was a wonderful experience. I spent one day touring Nassau and learning about the island. Another day I was able to spend the day on the Great Stirrup Cay enjoying the sun and relaxing.
I look forward to keeping in touch with those I met at the awards. And, the finalists are working on putting together a peer group to continue learning from each other and helping us all grow. The Total Landscape Care Magazine and Case Construction representatives did a fantastic job putting this event together. And, they said it best when they said that we were all winners.
