Landscaping Resolutions for 2015

2015 Resolutions for Your Landscape

3 Things to do to have a great looking landscape this year.

It’s 2015 and hopefully it is off to a great start for you. We all make New Year’s resolutions with the thought in mind of making positive changes in our lives. Often, cialis usa rx we’re looking to lose some weight, be more productive or save more money.  I know that I have my list of resolutions for this year.

Resolutions don’t need to be just to improve yourself. Think about making a resolution to do something good for your landscaping so that you can enjoy it more as the weather warms up. Here are my top three:

  1. Start before you start or plan in advance. It will save you time and money and help ensure that you have landscaping elements that add enjoyment to your outdoor lifestyle. Take into consideration how much time you spend in your outdoor space and what you do when you are outside.
  2. Winter is a great time to have your desert trees trimmed. Trees that go dormant during the winter have dropped their leaves. So, you can see their branching structure and notice any broken branches. You will also notice mistletoe and witches broom much easier this time of year. It makes it much easier to do a thorough tree trimming job. And, trees will not drip sap as much as during the spring and fall when they are actively growing.
  3. Get your irrigation system ready for the spring. Have your irrigation system checked for leaks, broken lines, problems with valves and irrigation clocks, and get the lines flushed. Performing a thorough irrigation check will help you avoid costly repairs and high water bills when you’re running your irrigation system more in the spring.

Your landscaping can offer an oasis in the desert when you follow these few simple rules. These resolutions are a great start to having landscaping that is functional, beautiful and offers many years of enjoyment.  Call us if we can help you with any of these landscaping resolutions or others you may have for your outdoor space. Let’s get the year off to a great start!

Client Spotlight – Las Cumbres HOA

Las Cumbres is a small townhome association in the Sunrise and Campbell area. Being located just minutes away from La Encantada puts it in a very desirable area. They have self-sustaining desert landscaping that is very easy to manage and looks great. Here is a photo of me and our landscape chairman Bob Sorock. Bob is a pleasure to work with.
