Deborah Munoz-Chacon – Owner

As the owner of Sonoran Oasis Landscaping, I take great pride in the work that we do. I love to see landscapes that are properly trimmed and have great looking trees with irrigation that is working well. I knew that many landscape companies in Tucson just trimmed as requested without any thought to what improper trimming does to a plant. I also saw terrible tree trimming and tree topping. As a certified arborist, I felt that clients would reconsider how their landscapes were treated if they knew what was best for them. I also knew that so many landscapes around town could look so much better with a little care and attention.

Communication is so important in landscaping because as the professional, it is up to us to make sure that you know why we are doing things and when they should be done. We know that you also want to be sure that you’re getting the best service for your money. And, the best way to do this is to meet with you regularly and keep you in the loop about our work for you.

His job is to work directly with clients and oversee the work of each of our crews. Robert is a certified irrigation technician through Rainbird Corp. and is also a certified chemical spray technician. He works directly with Deborah on bidding projects and working with our crews to make sure that each new job gets off to a good start. He also is essential in our employee training program.

Nate Chattin – Certified Water Auditor & Certified Chemical Sprayer

Nate Chattin has been with Sonoran Oasis Landscaping since we started. He is one of our certified water auditors and certified chemical sprayer. Nate is responsible for the maintenance of our largest projects and excels at client relations and consistency in work and planning.

Team Members – Crew Leaders and Landscapers

It is mandatory for all new employees to complete the University of Arizona Extension Center’s Smartscapes Program for Landscape Professionals. This gives them a good understanding of the correct way to care for plants and trees, proper planting processes, and basic irrigation maintenance and repair. Employees are also encouraged to take additional specialized courses to expand their knowledge and expertise. We look to our current team members for advancement rather than going outside the company. It is our goal to have dedicated employees who enjoy what they do and want to learn more to help them grow and improve the work we do for our clients.
